Moms night out...

WOW! I am so happy for the Sanders family. They were amazing friends to work with. We sold their starter home in under a week and record high in the community. And closed on their new family home concurrently. Now baby Bri can run wild in her new, huge backyard. I wish the Sanders many years of love and fun memories in their new "nest".

The smarter way to buy real estate in Orange County

Many online home buyers are so savvy they can identify the property they want, find the time to preview the homes at open houses, and even pull their own comparables. Indeed, according to the National Association of REALTORS recent “2015 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers,” [link to http://www.realtor.org/reports/highlights-from-the-2015-profile-of-home-buyers-and-sellers], for “42 percent of recent buyers, the first step that they took in the home buying process was to look online at properties for sale,” while only 14 percent of buyers first contacted a real estate agent.  Online websites were seen as “very useful information sources” by 82% of recent buyers. 

Some online home buyers even feel that there is no need to hire a realtor during the search for their home, and once they have identified a property and are ready to make an offer, they wonder if paying a high commission to a broker to get them from the offer to close is worth the money.   That is where the OC Nest comes in. 

I partner with online home buyers to ensure that they get the home of their dreams without paying high commissions by offering a flat fee option – and letting the home buyer pocket the difference between the flat fee and the standard 2-3% commission.  Through skilled negotiations, experience and ensuring all the legal documentation serves in the clients’ best interest, the online home buyer is able to pass the baton, which allows me to facilitate the transaction and represent them professionally. Old Friends, New Adventures!

The best part of my job is being able to help my friends and family! I feel very fortunate to have been apart of this amazing time in the DiDomizio's life. I have been friends with Erin since 6th grade, so when she asked me if I would be able to help her and her family with the purchase of their new home, I jumped at the chance knowing I'd be able to help a friend. Again, this is why I love real estate, I get to do what I love, with people I love! I am so proud and happy for the DiDomizio's, it has been a joy to see them grow as a family through the years. Home for the Holidays!!

So happy for the Martin family, they are settling in their new family home where their boys have plenty of room to run & grow for the years to come. I have been very fortunate to work with the Martin Family before, and it's so nice to see them find a nest in a neighborhood that is as warm and friendly as they are.

DOING THE RIGHT THING AT THE RIGHT TIME

For entrepreneur Stacy Borroto, there was no question that she would work after she started her family—but the challenge was how to make going back to work make emotional and economic sense. A problem familiar to many a working mom.

“I kept asking myself, am I doing the right thing?” Stacy recalls of how she grappled with ramping up her work schedule after her first child. “We only get these babies for such a short time!”

There was no right answer and so Stacy compromised, staying home with her children, but also working with clients that came her way through referral. Then this past year, with the youngest able to attend a program if Stacy needs time to work, she launched her new business THE OC NEST, a boutique real estate brokerage.

Great Friends Move into the Great Park

Earlier this year, I helped my good friends close on a brand new house in the beautiful Great Park community of Irvine.  This is my second time helping them purchase a home, and it's been a joy watching them grow throughout the past six years.   They moved into a gorgeous 5 bedroom home that boasts endless ammenities for their two adorable children.  Isn't this the cutest family ever?
